to think about it, human made minute hand longer than hour’s so that it’s more precise. small rotation on the axis equals to greater “distance”…compare to hour hand. so it’s easier to differentiate 45mins or 47mins using long needle than the shorter ones.we don’t need that kind of precision for hour hand, so it’s shorter
